Interleaving and exposure time

Post by aghman »

I have a few questions about interleaved camera groups and exposure time. Let's say I'm using a V100 (100 frames per second, 10ms between frames), what is the standard exposure time for a single camera setup?
Then, let's extend that example to a 2 camera setup (both V100s), where each camera has it's own group. All camera groups are set up to be interleaved. Camera group 0 has no interleaving offset, Camera group 1 is offset by 5ms. Will there be any change to exposure time? Is there any way to prevent overlapping of frames between cameras (for example, to prevent camera 0 from capturing while camera 1 is also capturing)?

It is fully adjustable, within the software itself

Default Shutter Time: 1ms (1/1000th of a second)
Minimum Shutter Time: 20us (1/50,000th of a second)

Thanks! Now I understand the correlation between the increments and shutter time in the API.
