reconstruct the structure of the object

Post by xfile2k »

Dear all

Is there a way, by placing a mark on an object to get the actual size of the object reference point to reconstruct the structure of the object in a virtual space?

Hello xfile2k,

I suppose what you want to do is possible, but it would require work on your part.

The system will give you the exact X, Y, Z position of the markers you place on an object. You would need to know the offset between the surface of your object and the center of each of the markers, but this position information could then be used to figure out the surface of your object.

This is not how the marker data is typically used but, in theory, this could be done.

Best,
Steven
