Motive streaming dummy

Post by augustdds »

Hey All,

I know I am just not doing something right. I want an FBX of a rigid body so I can match it up to an FBX via markers that would correspond to a 3D scanned model. When I go to export the rigid body, I just get an option for a Motive file or CSV. Any hints of exporting the rigid body as an FBX?

Hi augustdds,

Thanks for sharing your question with the community.
The export options you found are for saving the rigid body definition for later use in Motive.

If you are trying to export an FBX, you will want to record a short take of the rigid body. In the Data pane, you can then right-click on the recording and choose to export the tracking data. FBX Binary will let you export a rigid body null and marker nulls, while FBX ASCII will let you export the optical data with a rigid body null.

If you have trouble finding these options, please feel free to reach out to our Support team directly for assistance.

Cheers,
Steven
