Looking down, and view range question

Post by Aardvark892 »

All,

My TrackIR has worked great ever since the very first version. I'm currently using TrackIR 5. I am having a problem now that I've never encountered before, even though I've made no changes.

I can look 90 degrees left, right, and up, but when I get to about 35-40 degrees down, it loses tracking and I get a lot of jumping around and erratic behaviour. I can send my profile, if someone would like to take a look at it and tell me if my settings are kosher, but I don't know how to post it here.

I've tried lowering the sensor and adjusting where on my hat the trackclip sits, but that hasn't helped.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated!

It's a good idea to look at the camera view and see what's happening here. Click on the word "display" in the top left corner of the heads up display and change it to "camera view". What do the markers do when you look down to the point where tracking breaks?
