My setup is as follows:
hardware configuration:
-track ir 5 camera behind head, normal position (upside up)
-trackclip pro on the left side of my head but upside down (LEDs pointing backwards)
software configuration:
-version 5.2.2
-camera position: 180 degrees rotated
-yaw, y, z axis inverted
-roll axis disabled
Trueview disabled works like it should.
But Trueview enabled doesn't work:
E.g. if I rotate the virtual head 90 degree right and afterward I move my (physical) head toward the screen, the virtual head doesn't move along the virtual view direction like it should in trueview. Instead it moves along the global virtual z axis (like trueview disabled).
Can anyone confirm this bug?
trueview bug in camera behind head setup
Re: trueview bug in camera behind head setup
I also tested it with the trackclip pro mounted on the right side of my head (LEDs pointing backwards).
The software configuration is as follows:
-camera position: 0 degrees rotated
-pitch, x and z axis reversed
-roll axis disabled.
But this doesn't help either. Trueview disabled works. But trueview enabled doesn't work correct. However the (faulty) behavior is different than in my first setup. Yawing left or right and then moving forward indeed moves the virtual head along the virtual view direction. But pitching up or down and then moving forward moves the virtual head BACK instead forward along the virtual view direction.
@naturalpoint: Was trueview tested in a "camera behind head" setup?

Re: trueview bug in camera behind head setup
I am not aware of any tests with TrueView behind the head but will give it a shot this weekend and see how it works out.

Any news? Is this confirmed as a bug?
Re: trueview bug in camera behind head setup
I tested the version 4 of the trackir software with my setup. With this version trueview is working fine. So I revert back to this older version until the bug is fixed in the version 5.

I will pass this on to our developers and we will investigate this a bit more. Thanks for the feedback guys!
