Every time I've tried to play Arma 2/Arma 3 TrackIR either stops responding or goes weird or starts consuming vast amounts of memory/cpu power. I bought it a year ago and while for short periods it's worked the software always lets me down. With online play it freezes or spins me endlessly or just stops responding while slowing my machine to a crawl, offline it still does the same with Arma 2 and 3. 920 @4ghz, 16gb RAM, SSD, x58, 2x6990, GB-UD5EX58Rev2. To be honest this is my first attempt at solving the problem but I would not recommend a friend to buy one due to the poor software support. I've tried all AMD drivers and all Naturalpoint drivers since I bought it and always the same result.

That's quite the laundry list of bad symptoms! I'm sure that something under the hood is going wonky, either with a hw/driver conflict or something with the TrackIR device. We'll probably want to investigate in-depth, and for that it'd be best for you to submit a ticket at help.naturalpoint.com.
