HI All,
With the soon to be released Windows 10 and a preview already in the works has anyone
been able to get Track IR working, ?? I would like to try the upgrade with P3D but not if my
TIR won't work.

Any Suggestions

I am sorry it seems that I somehow missed this post. I know that I have a few users on Win10 and using P3D, but some have reported small problems. One user is claiming that the TrackIR crashes about ever 5 minutes, and another stated that P3D wouldn't communicate with TrackIR. Overall, those are the only two issues that I have seen.

i get one light but the second light doesnt show in Elite, Going to try some other games DCS and MWO, the app works and tracks just doesnt work in games.

Which light do you get right or left? If you go into the advanced settings and click on the titles tab, what do you see?

Install the update v344 from thread above

Then make sure you see elite in the titles list and it has a profile assigned

It crashed for me as well.
Using latest build of Win 10 fully patched as of todays /yesterday patches.
I solved the issue here (today) by having the Track IR 5 application
run as WIndows 8 compatible mode.

WOrks okay , launched okay. Not tested in real game yet. Just tried the profiler and it worked.


I don't know who this xannz is and I"m not trying any test builds until
I see a official Track IR 5 poster tell us to use a link.

I've been working with Xsannz closely to help trouble shoot the issue. I apologize for not conveying that in this specific forum post. His solutions are both valid and perfectly safe. The files came directly from me for him to test because I could not replicate the issue in house. Having said that, the update feature should work fine now. I am putting together a new Windows 10 PC using the latest build to test any further updates. It is good to know that compatibility mode is another work around in case an issue arises in the future.

Latest update mechanism worked fine.
Question though i had to manually go and trigger the update rather than it notifying me was this part of the process or because i had the same version already in place?

This is a version control feature that is implemented. I didn't bump the rev version so I could test them against one another. Because of that, they both had the same ID number. You should get the update going forward.

I can confirm that the latest game update files fixed the problem for me.
