All good for Mike to take the credit.
I just thought the test was logical as an implementation specialist it's my daily job to prove product or software faults and such.
Hope your up and running soon enough. On the flips side if mine ever goes faulty would be interesting to see if I can interface software and make it do Ir photography.
Perhaps that's an alternative market

Re: TrackIR 5 & Track Clip Pro problem
The new TrackIR 5 camera arrived today. Everything is ok again.
But what might have been the problem?
Like I mentioned before, the camera is about as old as a TIR5 gets. It has suffered a few unlucky falls of the monitor. Nothing lately though, AFAIK.
I built a new gaming PC a few months ago, and got a powered USB3 hub, to which I attached all my peripherals.

JorgenToll,
I think that the IR shield somehow deteriorated over time. Which isn't something I see often with the cameras, but could have been caused by something in your environment. No way to know for sure without testing it.
