Trackir 5 suddenly frames drop to 15

Post by swat »

Hello ,
yesterday suddenly i noticed that my TIR have some problems with very low frames, it was impossible to fly Falcon BMS,
When i start TIR software on the right side of the screen i check Camera view and on the Frame rate i see 120 (x)( the x will be start at 3-5 and in about 5 second that number increase and stop to 15)
Its like a limiter stop the frames to 15,
is stable all the time... Frame rate :120 (15.0)
I try to connect that TIR to an other PC and i see the same problem.
Thanks in advance.

I'm having the same issue. It shows framerate in the TrackIR software at 120 (15) and it is very jerky movement.
Did you ever get it resolved?

Hello,

Would both of you submit a ticket to me at help.naturalpoint.com with your serial number, when the problem started, and a detailed list of computer specs?

swat,

The red lines are not something new, it is likely that your hardware is going out. The new side effect of that is it showing 15 FPS instead of 120. It could be that since the board is failing it is only reporting 15 fps or it is missing a cycle when the software checks it. The few cases that I've seen with this issue it has been the hardware failing. Usually due to age or use. So far the only solution has been to get a new device.
