TrackIR Freezes after 10 minutes

Hi Mike,

So I re-installed windows 10 as it seemed I had some corrupted system files and I thought maybe that was what the problem was. In actual fact the software crashed several times even after I re-installed windows (I did a clean install).

Here are a few of the error codes I was getting:

From looking into the error codes posted it looks to be heap corruption and may be tied to memory issues or registry problems. Have you ran a test on your RAM?

i have the same problem , win7 , i7 4820, 16 gigs corsair ram, for me it is the program freezing both lights are still green but not responsive, hud still shows green, and i get het program has stopped working windows is checking for a solution message.
i run track ir5 with voiceattack and ts3 when playing elite dangerous, the game and everything else still works fine just no head tracking.
i have to close the game to desktop and shut down track ir and restart it then restart the game.

While we get to the bottom of the issue I do want to let you know that you don't have to exit Elite Dangerous in order to restart TrackIR. Simply Alt+Tab out, start TrackIR and then pause and unpause Elite. It will recognize the TrackIR when unpaused.

Now to get to the bottom of this issue. What if anything does your event viewer say? Have you tried installing a different version of the TrackIR software? Have you checked your Memory or Disk for failures?

Hi Mike,

Sorry I haven't replied sooner. I have went on holiday for 3 weeks then have been crazy at work for another 3.
I figured out what was causing the problem, It was that I had the TrackIR camera and pro headseat plugged into my USB hub and not directly to the computer. Once plugged directly into the computer it hasn't frozen again.
Works like a charm.
