Windows 10 not working with any updates since v5.2.2

Hi all,

I've been trying to update TrackIR5 since version v5.2.2 with no success. I am using Windows 10 and each time I run the new version updater file I get the following error message

(see attachment) when running TrackIR5. I am running As Administrator and each time I try a new update I uninstall both the TrackIR5 application and the NaturalPoint Drivers and also delete the NaturalPoint directory. I have even gone thru the registry and delete all instances of TrackIR and NP.

So far these versions have failed to run: 5.4.0, 5.4.1 and 5.4.2

The only version that work is 5.2.2

Any ideas please

Hello,

Please follow the directions in http://www.tomshardware.com/answers/id- ... 0007b.html, there are several possible solutions for error 0xc000007b included within. Though in my experience chkdsk, or updating .NET fixed the problems.

Hi Tks for replying Mike. I'm going thru the options. So far chkdsk did not fix it, nor did installing latest .net (Installers advised me I've already got latest .asp net 4.6).
I'm now looking at the MS Visual C++ Redistributables and a bit of a dilemma. I've got all these versions

2005 v8.0.61001
2005 v8.0.50727.42
2005 x64
2008 x86
2010 x64
2010 x86
2012 x64
2013 x64
2013 x86
2015 x64

Is it safe to uninstall and if so which ones
