Hello,
tonight Win10 did its main update : TiR5 and 4 cannot be activated no more by their software
I've tried uninstall/reinstall of 5.4.2 software, it looks like it is not installing the drivers (folder), only the software
I've seen a solution that talks about cleaning the registry, but I'm uncertain about the meaning of deleting "files"
1. Remove TrackIR from add/remove programs
2. Remove NaturalPoint Drivers from add/remove programs.
3. Delete installer executable from where you saved it
4. Delete NaturalPoint folder from Program Files x86
5. Delete NaturalPoint folder from %APPDATA% location.
6. Open regedit.exe as an administrator
7. Search for and delete files labeled as "NaturalPoint"
8. Search for and delete files labeled as "TrackIR"
9. Reboot PC
10. Download new installer from website
11. Right-click and install as an administrator
12. Plug in TrackIR and verify the driver install
thanks for help

Re: windows 10 update - TIr5 (and 4) no longer recognized
I've found a "cheat"
I restored the driver folder I deleted (from the previous install), and manually (right click on the .inf file) installed the driver
TiR back online
yet I'd like to know why after this "update" windows 10 does not allow TiR software to install properly anymore
