USB 2.0 or 3.0?

Just a quick question, does it make a different using USB 2.0 or 3.0 port to plug the camera into? I know that 3.0 is faster for data transfer but it is suggested to use 2.0 for mouse and keyboard. Is this the same for the camera. Thank you for any assistance provided.

Hello Ian.
It's better to use USB 2.0 for the USB camera system. USB 3.0 protocol has a more strict limitation on the allowed cable length (~3 meter) compared to USB 2.0 (~5 meter) which could negatively affect the camera setup and result in dropped data. For this reason, use of USB 2.0 port is recommended.
