Error contacting the update server

I reinstalled Track IR version 5.4.2.27545 and I have a problem getting an updated list of titles.

When I try check for games update, I get "An error occured while contacting the update server."

When I check for software updates "We were unable to detect the product you are using. "

It is not a firewall or antivirus problem. (Both are deactivated)

I checked in the forum and tried what has been suggested. I haven't found a suitable solution.

Both the game and Track IR 5 are with user privileges. (Anyhow, the update of the list of games happens without any active sim.)

I removed and reinstalled the software twice, and changed USB port.
The software is in the default location.

The games list seems rather old (2016, als old as software 5.4.2, no Wings over Flanders Fields, Wings over the Reich)

Could anyone help, please ?

After restarting the software again, maybe for the 30th time, suddenly, there was an update tab in the upper right corner (it had never shown up before).
I clicked on it and at last the games list updated.
Since then, the "check for games update in the upper left corner works !
I have no clue as to what solved the problem.
