TrackIR 5 compatibility with T.16000M flight stick

Post by JonLow »

Hello everyone,

I recently bought the Thrustmaster T.16000M FCS Flight Pack, which includes
  • the T.16000M flight stick
  • the TWCS throttle
  • and the TFRP T.Flight Rudder Pedals.
I am trying to use it with TrackIR 5 (ProClip).

The issue I've come accross is that TrackIR's tracking will freeze whenever I start a game while having the T.16000M connected. When I start XPlane 11 the tracking freezes immediately when the main menu is loaded. With FSX it freezes shortly after a flight is loaded.

By freezing I mean that the head position won't move in both the TrackIR software and in the game. The menus and buttons in the TrackIR software remain responsive.

When I disconnect the T.16000M USB cables TrackIR will work normally (after a restart). I used TrackIR previously in combination with the Thrustmaster T.Flight X Hotas without any problems.

Software versions I am running:
  • Windows 10 Pro (1903)
  • TrackIR 5.4.2.27545
  • Thrustmaster Drivers Package 2020_TFHT_1
  • Thrustmaster T.A.R.G.E.T v3.0.20.427
  • XPlane 11.41r1 (Steam)
  • Microsoft Flight Simulator X 10.0.63003.0 (Steam)
Any help is appreciated.

Ok, I finally figured it out.

The issue was caused by connecting both TrackIR and the T.16000M to a USB hub. After moving the flight controller to different USB port it appears to be working.

I didn't really think about that, since my setup worked fine with TrackIR and the T.Flight X Hotas. Going to rewire my desk now.
