TIR and LCD

I have a TIR 4 that I need to affix to the top of my new LCD. I had a CRT monitor before. It doesn't look like the springy silver legs of my TIR units will adapt in any way to an LCD. Does the TIR 5 unit with its geared legs solve the problem? What are my choices here? Thanks!

TrackIR 4 and 5 both have bases that are specifically designed to fit flat panel monitors.

Thank you, Seth.

My TIR has bendy silver legs and could never sit on top of an LCD unless I duct taped it. I'm pretty sure it's a TIR 4. Or a 3? Anyway, do I have any options apart from purchasing a new one? The current unit works just fine. Thanks!

That would be a TrackIR 3. You can't swap bases between the various generations of products, so if you want to make the switch to feet specifically designed for an LCD, you'll have to go with TIR 4 or 5.
