TrackIR 5 and 4 problems on new Core i7 System

Post by CrisMoreno »

I just put together a new system for my father:

Core i7 4x2,66 GHZ
Nvidia XFX GTX 275
3 Gigs RAM
Windows XP Professional 32Bit
I have a TrackIR5 hardware attached

I have severe probs with TrackIR Software Version 4 and 5 Beta.

When I want to start TrackIR5 Beta, the program instantly crashes and windows at asks me to send an error report.

With TrackIR4 the problem is that the program starts, but FSX (UTX, REX) does not react to my headmovements. In the TrackIR program the head movements are visible. IL-2 is no problem and works flawlessly! When I quit TrackIR4, the program is still active and when I press the x for closing again, it crashes as well. Strange behaviour there.

On my own Windows 7 system I don't have those probs. (Except the FSX problems, which I posted in the right section on this forum)..

Thanks for your support

What version of FSX are you runing?

Do you have SP1/SP2 installed for FSX?

Do you have the latest video card drivers installed?

Any software applications running in the background.

You should not have to run in compatability mode.

... Yeah would be nice. But maybe that's worth a try? I'll report on that back later today.
