I'm sure the clip is an advancement but I want to continue using the hat for 6DOF. I used it with my old TIR 3 (from which I am now updating) and it worked well for me. As goofy as it might feel to wear the hat, I do not want more wires and it appears to me that the hat is wireless where the clip is connected to a USB port.
Can anyone tell me:
- Whether the performance advantage of the clip is so great that it would be foolish to stick with the hat.
- Whether TIR 5 works well with hat tracker.
As soon as I have resolved this issue, I intend to make the purchase, many thanks.

The TrackClip PRO can perform a bit better in poor lighting conditions, and it can have a bit wider range of motion, with a slightly larger trackable range on the pitch axis in particular. But, the standard TrackClip will still give you really good results.
