I find the manual to be of disappointingly limited help. There are items that direct the reader to other sections (particularly 5.6 and 5.7.3) for additional information on features but those sections referenced do not have the applicable information.
Furthermore, I am unable to find what the significance is of One:One, Default Profile and Smooth in the Profile menu.
I believe an edit and rewrite of the manual should be considedred and would be of great assistance.

Re: Manual not very clear
The manual is in flux, as we've added many features throughout the alpha and beta development cycles. An updated manual version will be available with the 5.0 final release.
Aside from an incomplete description of the profiles (section "5.8.1 Profile management" does describe the function of a profile and addresses the fact that a default profile ships with the software, but does not distinguish between the three types that are currently included) and some mis-matched links (as a result of adding content which distorted the manual's outline structure--good catch), is there anything else that you feel warrants a rewrite? Specifics are helpful, as we certainly want the manual to offer all possible assistance, but we don't necessarily know the intricacies of every user's needs.

Re: Manual not very clear
Hi,
Respectfully, I feel same disapointment as Roger. I bought my TrackIR5 with the Clip. Went trough the hole manual yesterday and today, now that i received the hardware i don't find nowhere how to set the center, how to set up how far i am from the windshield, what the blue, red and green arrow means, what the green spot means, why it dissapears some times, what the Camera view does. After 5 hours of guessing went again to the manual and see if am missing the key part but is not there, so i am trying to figure out how to make it work properly. As advice, needs a friendly step by step set up. Great product but not the best manual.

Re: Manual not very clear
I think all of this actually is in the manual:
"Hotkeys
Hotkeys allow you to map keys or buttons on other input devices to perform functions in the TrackIR software. You can select the keys to be used, turn the hotkey on or off, enable toggle mode, and trap the hotkey. Select the hotkey you wish to edit (Pause, Center, or Precision) from the dropdown menu."
"Center
The Center hotkey allows you to re-center your in-game view. Every time the Center hotkey is pressed, it re-defines your current head position as the new center."
"Position the device further away if youd like more room to move around. (We recommend between 2 and 5 feet.)"
5.9.2 Camera View (2D Tracking Data)
"Undesired light sources in the cameras view will also be exposed in this window. Green objects are being tracked by the camera while red objects are not."
If you're referring to the green LED lights on the camera:
4.3 Camera Status LED indicators
"- Left Green : A clip IS being tracked.
- Right Green : A TrackIR Enhanced Title IS running and has registered with the TrackIR software to receive tracking data.
- Both Green : A clip IS being tracked, and a TrackIR Enhanced Title IS running and has registered with the TrackIR software to receive tracking data."
"The Camera View is a larger version of the Camera Window. It shows what the TrackIR camera is tracking, and what is in its field of view. This helps you adjust the position of yourself and the TrackIR camera to get the best range of motion and tracking results.
Undesired light sources in the cameras view will also be exposed in this window. Green objects are being tracked by the camera while red objects are not. Other important tracking data (frame rate, tracking mode, and number of tracked objects) is located at the top right corner of the window."
5.8.1.2 Profile Settingshow to set the center
"Hotkeys

You can select the keys to be used, turn the hotkey on or off, enable toggle mode, and trap the hotkey. Select the hotkey you wish to edit (Pause, Center, or Precision) from the dropdown menu."

3.5 Hardware Placementhow to set up how far i am from the windshield
"Position the device further away if youd like more room to move around. (We recommend between 2 and 5 feet.)"
There aren't any arrows in the TrackIR 5 software that I'm aware of.what the blue, red and green arrow means
If you mean the dots on the camera view:what the green spot means
5.9.2 Camera View (2D Tracking Data)
"Undesired light sources in the cameras view will also be exposed in this window. Green objects are being tracked by the camera while red objects are not."
If you're referring to the green LED lights on the camera:

- Both Green : A clip IS being tracked, and a TrackIR Enhanced Title IS running and has registered with the TrackIR software to receive tracking data."
That depends on which dot you're referring to, but in all likelihood, it's because the camera has lost tracking and can't see all of the TrackClip.why it dissapears some times
5.9.2 Camera View (2D Tracking Data)what the Camera view does
"The Camera View is a larger version of the Camera Window. It shows what the TrackIR camera is tracking, and what is in its field of view. This helps you adjust the position of yourself and the TrackIR camera to get the best range of motion and tracking results.
