EyePoint

Post by ciben »

I like to fly in front of the plane.
Your wonderful TrackIr 5 keeps me in the cockpit.
Is there anyway to be in front of the plane and be able to look around with TrackIr 5?

FSX
I move Eyepoint to the front of the plane and press 'shift O' and can look around with my mouse. But I would like to do it with the TrackIR.

Within FSX, you would need to adjust the viewpoint of each aircraft, so that it moves you foward.

With the TrackIr plugged-in, Eyepoint won't move forward in the FSX settings.

You need to manually adjust it within the cfg file for each aircraft, as FSX detects the TrackIR, and uses it for data input, instead of keyboard commands, when it is running.

It sure would be sweet if you guys could tell me how to do it.

In the program files folder/Microsoft Games/FSX/Sim Objects/AirPlanes

In the folder for each aircraft you can adjust the center point for the VC in each one.

eyepoint= -3.95, -0.85, 1.9

//front/back, left/right, up/down

make very small changes (.1) and then test

if you want to ride on the aircraft nose then you would be changing the front/back value.
