Is this product really sure for my eyes?

I need somebody to confirm if the technology used with Trackir is safe for my eyes. I dont know if it uses IR directly to the zone it need to scan (my head) and if these rays can be dangerous or something for my eyes when using for a long period of time.

When using a TV control to change channels we point it directly to the TV (not or heads), and only use it few secconds in a day, but TrackIR is continuously pointing to the eyes... I need to be sure it is not causing anything bad. What technology uses trackIR exactly, it only receives information or it send rays? what kind of rays? has this product any certification that ensures that it is safe?

Im using TrackIR v3 + vector.

Thanks.

Hi Mopheta,

TrackIR is completely safe for your eyes. It emits infrared light, which is simply on the non-visible portion of the light spectrum. It's less impactful on your eyes than normal indoor fluorescent lights.

Thanks for the reply. It is better to be sure when using new hardware not used for most people.
