Hello. DCS A-10C is about to be released. The game software comes in 32 and 64 bit version. Trackir will not work with the 64 bit version as your current drivers do not support 64 bit. Do you have a status report on 64 bit driver release?

The TrackIR drivers are currently 64-bit. The TrackIR software itself is 32-bit

further support for the software to be a 64-bit application is currently being looked at, but there is no timeline for it's release.

The TrackIR drivers are currently 64-bit

Does that mean there is any way to get trackir to work with a 64-bit software such as A-10?

Ouch! The most anticipated flight sim is made to run on the most likely OS and no support or even prediction of support?

I wonder if there are other head tracking options on the market, that support the most common needs.

If I were head of NP and wanted to make money.....

There are very very VERY few games that actually have a 64bit-specific version.

TrackIR will still work just fine with the 32bit DCS A-10, and most people probably wouldn't even notice the difference anyway.

I'm not trying to say it wouldn't be nice for NP to get 64bit software support in, but I think it's a little premature to give them flack for it because A10 is probably the first flight sim ever to have a 64bit version. (let's not confuse 64bit operating system support vs. 64bit application support. TrackIR will work just fine with A10 on any 64bit Windows OS, just not with the 64bit A10 client.)

I meant no harm with my harsh words. I just use motivational terms that are used in the industry that I work in :)

I'm fairly new, and admittedly slow when it comes to my PC. Hoping one of you gentlemen might shed some light on this situation.
So I've pre ordered the new DCS, like the rest of you I suppose, and I'm a little confused as to what this means for my gaming experience.
I didn't see an option for 32 bit or 64 bit download (no idea what this means :)), I'm fairly pessimistic (New Yorker) and assuming that I got the 64 bit version. Does this mean that my brand new shiny trackir5 will not work with this game? But might at a latter date?

What does that mean?

That within the DCS A10C sim the TIR will not move etc when running the sim in 64 bit?

I runs fine on W7 64 bit within 32 bit games.
