Installed ATI HD 6870 video card and now TrackIR 5 will not load. Is there a fix for this? I just got my TrackIR 5 2 weeks ago but my video card could not keep up. So, I installed a new card but cannot get TrackIR 5 to work???

When I try to open TrackIR 5 a message pops up stating TrackIr has encountered a problem and needs to close.

If it matters; my operating system is Windows XP Professional.

Help really appreciated!

This is an issue that we are currently seeing with the ATI drivers, and the TrackIR 5 software. We are currently working on the issue, and hope to have it resolved in a future software release, until then please try using the TrackIR 4.1.037 software.

Thanks Vincent. Unfortunately, TrackIR version 4.1.037 is not working. I can get it to work somewhat, but it crashes my computer so much it's just not doable.

Do you have any idea when you may have a fix for TrackIR 5 with ATI cards?

We don't have a release date yet for the updated 5.0 software, but we are working on it.

Any other applications running, when using the 4.1 software?

At what point is the 4.1 software crashing?

I run game booster to keep applications to a minimum.

The software (4.1) crashes as I'm messing with the settings; if I mess with them a lot. If I keep fiddling to a minimum, I find it works. So, it is functional now as long as I don't pry too much.

TrackIR 4 Hardware, TrackIR 5.0 (latest) software

I have to start once or twice the software and the third time usually it works, first times it crashes with:

It's not critical as i can use it. Too early morning for opengl.

Hi, I have installed an ATI HD5770 today and now have the same problems with crashing software upon starting Track IR 5 hard-/software. For some reason I also can't get the v4 Software let me configure anything. Maybe I am simply suited to v5...

Any update for v5 software is highly appreciated.

I have a radeon HD 4800 series and my track clip pro has been working great until I updated the drivers this past month.

went to run the software and got the same error message that "track ir has encountered a problem" yada yada yada.

right clicked on the executable shortcut, selected "run as..."
then selected my admin name and password and it ran...?

windows xp, AMD processor, and an ATI Radeon 4800 sweries 1GB vid card.

seems to be working so far, will let you know if it stays that way. havnt restarted to see if it will run again, wanna fly some first 8o).

What were your further experiences? I would be very interested to hear before I decide on doing a driver upgrade myself.
I wonder when we finally will get a solution from Naturalpoint; this issue is around already for a very long time.
