trackir 3 to 5?

Hello, I have trackir 3 and need to know if there is really a reason to buy 5.
The most important thing I need is smooth. I have a samsung 2233RZ monitor with 120hz and I notice a lot of difference if use 60hz or 120hz when using my mouse. Of course with TIR3 smooth (clearly seen when using mouse emulation) is far away from a cursor moved with a real mouse in a 60hz screen.
If I play a game at 120hz with TIR 5 used as mouse emulation, I will have jerky movements?
Is TrackIR 6 (or any other improved product) near to be released?
