Track IR 5 camera staying on until unplugged, gets hot

It's not staying on as far as the main green/red lights, but after shutting the program down there are still the 4 little dot lights on behind the camera's screen.

It is getting hot, and the only way to shut it off completely is to unplub the cable.

It is working fine other than that.

Any help will be appreciated.

This is my first ever problem with the product.

When you shut down the TrackIR software, does TrackIR5.exe show up in your processes tab of your task manager? Do the lights turn off if you kill that process?

It shows in the processes, and has sometimes stayed on, the last time it shut down when I exited T-IR.

This is a known software issue with the TrackIR. We are working to fix this in the next version of the software. Manually killing the process after use with the task manager will not have any negative effect on the TrackIR camera or software.

I discovered that maximizing T-IR interface then clicking on the X at the top right shuts it down completely, and upon going to task manager it is not there after shutting it down in this manner.

My camera is getting hot very quickly though, but it is working fine.
