Newbie question

I've been using a flight sim (IL2) with 2 dof & I have been having problems with the pitch view settings. It seems to act differenty each time I use Trackir (even though I am trying to use the default profile)& I don't know how to fix it.The view upward seems to be OK up to a degree (not always the same degree, but usually about 45 degree virtual) ,& then the view snaps sideways. It's extremely frustrating if you try to look up .It's like trying to look at something & having your head jerked in another direction.Does anyone know what I'm doing wrong?

What version of TrackIR software are you running? Are you using vector, TrackClip Pro, or dot tracking mode?
