cant get trackir 5 to work

Today I recieved my Trackir5 that I bought on EBay.I followed all the procedures downloaded the installation exe file,installed it and when i went to use it with my FSX.It recognised it as a ir enhanced game.But all it does is spin around and everything is zoomed in to the max so I cannot use it to fly. Any suggestions on how to set it up so it works. Oh yes I tried both the visor clip on and the Track clip pro nothing works.Help please
