The hardware rig (either the $5k Pro or the $199 Mini) is a separate purchase from the plugin ($1k for either MoBu or Maya, or $2k for a universal version of either that can work with other mocap systems).

Damn, I was really interested in this, but $6k is, I must admit, more than I was expecting. Oh, well- good luck with it anyway.

Don't forget about the $199 VCS:Mini! :)

The marker mount clip will also have a place to mount your own display, if you'd like to create a sort of hybrid rig. You could probably build something pretty cool w/ a VCS:Mini + one of these:

and maybe one of these:

Seth,

Your giving away all my secrets!!!

Nomad, the setup Seth mentions above works very well. It does require a few setup tricks, so if you decide to go this route, let me know and I'll be more than happy to help get ya going.

Cheers,

Hi Justin
I saw your video on youtube with the mimo great stuff, I think I'll buy the plugin and go the mimo/xbox pad route, what are your tricky setup tricks?

Thanks
All the best
Hogan

Each plug-in will be sold separately. We don't have the pricing for the "Universal" (aka Works with Vicon/MAC/etc) editions on the website yet, but the breakdown is expected to be:

- MotionBuilder plugin: $1000
- MotionBuilder plugin (Universal): $2000

- Maya plugin: $1000

So, if you're integrating into an OptiTrack system, you'll get 50% off of the Universal pricing. Of course, the advantage with the Universal plugin is that it will work with other mocap systems, so if you happen to already own one, it will enable you to utilize the Insight VCS without an OptiTrack system as a prereq. Of course, if you want to buy a mocap system as well, that's fine by us. ;)
