Minimal Latency for Real Time Tracking

Post by BradleyNewman »

We're utilizing a Prime 41 system for real time tracking of rigid bodies for virtual reality head mounted displays. For such an application minimizing latency is key and I'm wondering if there are ideal settings inside the Motive Reconstruction and Data Streaming panels for minimizing latency? I experimented with enabling Realtime Speed Boost but this appears to crash Motive, not sure why...

What version of Motive are you using? I would be happy to offer a remote desktop session and go over some of the settings with you. Please create a ticket with us at help.naturalpoint.com if you are interested.

We were using Motive 1.5.1, after upgrading to 1.6.0 Beta2 the crashing has gone away.

Would it be possible for you to upgrade to the Motive 1.7 Beta release?
