Motive incorrect scaling

Post by supercourgette »

Hello,

I have a rigidbody in Motive at a height of about 941 mm. However in real-world, the object is at a height of about 780 mm. I also believe the difference of height is not a constant offset, but scale with how height the object is.

I think I did a correct calibration but I'm not an expert. I would like to know the possible errors I did in order to solve this issue.

Thanks in advance!

Hello supercourgette,

Thank you for reaching out to the community regarding your issue.

When the scale of the data is incorrect, it is almost always due to an inconsistency in the calibration wand that was used during the calibration. During the wand wave, the size of the wand must be set correctly in Motive. If it is not, this throws off the scale.

It is unusual that your scale seems to change. While the scale may be off, it is not expected to fluctuate. If you continue to encounter this, please reach out to us at help.naturalpoint.com so we can troubleshoot with you.

Best regards,
Steven

Yes you right, I chose the wrong wand in the calibration settings (500 instead of legacy 400). Thanks!
