Streaming a subset of markers from the motive to Vizard

Post by tianmoran »

Hi all,

I am quite new to the Motive so this question might be silly...

We would like to stream data from the human body in the Motive to Vizard. Because Vizard only takes data from 10 points in the human body (like head, forearms, hands, calves, pelvis, feet), but Motive has 25 points, so we need to tell the Vizard which markers it needs to stream.

So here is the question, how do we label the markers in the Motive? Do we have to record a TAK file before labeling them, or Motive could stream online data to Vizard?

Thanks a lot for your help!

bw,

Tian

Hi tianmoran,

I am not familiar with Vizard, but with Motive you can either stream recorded and edited data, or live data.

If you decide to record the data and stream it afterward, you can manually label the markers using a custom MarkerSet. This would allow you to create a list containing only the markers you need to stream.

You also have the option of modifying the skeleton's marker labels to match the names you require. Custom setup gets a little more complicated if you need to add markers to new locations, but this is possible as well.

I hope you find this information to be useful. If you require further assistance, please feel free to reach out to us directly at help.naturalpoint.com
