Hello,

When we try to use any USB recording or playback device, we get the following error:

"Error selecting Audio Device: Wasapi Recorder : Cannot get the specified audio capture device"
Please see attached screenshot.

We're badly in need to record all our shots with audio synced, and to be able to playback them as well as we are shooting hours and hours of footage, but this is a huge setback.

What could be the problem?

The USB devices we've tried work perfectly in any other software and computer.

We're running Motive 2.0.1

This error usually appears when all Recording devices have been removed, or disabled. If you go into your Recording Devices by right clicking on the speaker in the task manager, you will want to make sure one of these are connected, or enabled. You should be able to connect the device used to record, which would be difficult it it's attached to a camera, or you can enable the Microphone built into the computer.

We have the same problem, and your solution does not work for us. We keep getting the Wasapi error although the mic is enabled (see attached image). Additionally, Motive crashes when clicking "Enable Capture" whithout "Enable Playback" being checked.
