cameras flickering and making gaps in recording

Hello,

in our system with 30 of the s250e cameras sometimes we have the camera displays flickering.
in motive where you see all the little camera views the names of the cameras flicker.

also there is a red cross in the list of devices.

any ideas what could be the reason for this ?

Hello artoo,

It looks like your cameras are having a connection problem and are dropping out frequently.

To start, you will want to make sure that all of the cameras are networked according to the online documentation.
In particular, there should be nothing connected to the camera switches other than the Motive PC and OptiTrack devices, and all cables should be Cat 6 or better. You should also verify that there is no antivirus or firewall enabled on the machine.

If you continue to struggle with this, you can reach out to our Support team for further troubleshooting. When contacting us, it would be good to know the model of the switches and network card, and whether these were acquired through us or elsewhere.
