MotiveAPI

Post by robodoc »

I've been developing an application using the MOTIVE API for tracking rigid bodies. With the advent of Motive 2.2 TRA/SKL files have been depricated. Is there an update to the method for using TT_LoadRigidBodys? The documentation for the API seems to assume 2.1 or earlier.

I know you can export a .motive file or a profile, but if I wanted to be able to let the user select the valid rigid body from a list of files such as TRA/SKL files.

Thank you,
David

Hi David,

Thanks for reaching out to the community regarding your API question.

When you export assets, they now save to the .Motive file type, as do the profiles. You can save each asset individually to its own .Motive file, and use the load profile operation to load the desired asset. This will allow you to load one rigid body without affecting the rest of Motive's settings and assets.

I hope this helps. If you run into any issues, please feel free to reach out to our team directly.

Best,
Steven
