time jog hotkey problem on windows 7

I just installed Motive on my old Windows 7 machine (Swedish) and have problems with jogging the timeline with the alt-key + mouse drag. All that happens is that the menu-bar is activated, no time change. This makes data clean-up REALLY a pain. Is there a workaround for this issue?

you did not think to upgrade, and thus avoid even a lot of problems in the future ?
