Fixing a character not facing the positive direction of the Z axis

Post by ardreyg »

I am new to Motive and I have imported a character downloaded from Adobe Mixamo as an FBX file and a motion capture performance from Optitrack Motive as an FBX file to Motion Builder. I have mapped the joints from the motion capture to the character in the character definition window. It appears that there is an issue with the motion capture not facing the positive direction of the Z axis, there's probably a simple way to reorient the animation to face the correct direction but I haven't found it in motion builder. Is there a way to do this from the TAK file in Motive and re-exporting the FBX file? Can anyone point me to some documentation that would describe this process?
