Has NP been in contact with the makers of Stalker?
Seeing as it's been put back to 2006 release , there's enough time for tir implementation no?
Tir and Stalker
Re: Tir and Stalker
There may be time indeed, and we are investigating.

Dare I ask why exactly you're excited about this game in particular?

Re: Tir and Stalker
It does indeed sound like a great game!
Re: Tir and Stalker
Well one of the reasons I was looking forward so much to this new game, was that it was going to support Co-op on the single player story.
But that's no longer going to happen due to technical difficulties. Gutted.
Still, this game still sounds promising, due to the non-linear game play. Imagine 30km squared landscape called the Zone, that you can explore, in which you can travel in any direction you choose.
It's got a great Sc-fi + fact story line. Partly based on a great book Roadside Picnic, this first person shooter plays like an RPG, you develop your game skills rather than normal RPG's characters skills development.
Also every time you start a new game the whole Stalker world's NPC's , anomalies etc, will be different, eg. not in the same place as the last time you played.
The NPC's, Stalkers and creatures have their own needs /desires and will basically roam the Stalker world trying to survive eg. creatures will get hungry and need to eat, Stalkers will complete the tasks to find the mysteries that surround the strange happenings in the Zone(which is your role in the game).
Also the other Stalkers will complete the whole game without any input from you, so you compete against them,
eg. you get to the place where an artifact was 'supposed to be , only to find that another Stalker/s has been there first, or
eg. the person you went to meet has been attacked and eaten by a random hungry creature .
Day/night/weather cycle. You must sleep/eat...etc etc .
Really worth checking this game out as I can't cover it in a few hundred words.
