Steel Beasts Pro PE is a tank simulator that has a fully virtual cockpit for several of the supported tanks.

I wanted to suggest Natural Point work with the people that make the Steel Beasts Pro PE (esim games) to see if TrackIR support can be integrated. They have it apparently on their todo list but they may not realize how easy is it to incorporate (or so I've heard!) Steel Beasts Pro is actually used for military training purposes, so getting TrackIR functionality incorporated could possibly generate additional sales to esim games' military customers.

I have been looking at getting this sim. I just have to get around my wife. She has dug her heels in and will not budge over the price

You could always go for the original Steel Beasts it was good. The graphics are a bit aged but the gameplay holds up.

Ebay can sometimes turn up these older games cheap.

T72:Iron Warriors his a rough at the seams tank sim that is called T72: Balkans on Fire (I think in the US). This is more of an updated M1 Tank Platoon, but is still very good when in the tank. More details can be found on Battlefront.com.

Out of curiousity, what would you primarily like to see TrackIR doing in these tank sims? View control of inside view? third person view? controlling the upper component's direction and aim?
