I'm having trouble getting TrackIR to work in Orbiter. I installed the Sep 29 2006 version of Orbiter and it runs fine, but my TrackIR doesn't seem to do anything. I enabled the TrackIR Module, and under Extra->TrackIR Configuration I have Virtual Cockpit view checked. Also my Profile has reassigned Center and Enable functions to Scroll Lock and Pause, respectively.

What might I be missing?

Correct. I assume by VC mode you mean pushing F8 to get the various cockpit views? I could not get any movement in any cockpit view.

I do not get a blue light for enhanced mode. I've enabled all views and still get nothing. It seems to detect that TrackIR is running since the Diagnostic panel shows the TrackIR version as 4.00 when I've got TrackIR running and it shows "not running" if I don't launch TrackIR before starting Orbiter. Any idea what would keep it from going into enhanced mode?

When you load the TrackIR software, then load the orbiter software, then start a flight.

If you Alt-Tab to the desktop, then look at the TrackIR software, is it loading the orbiter profile? Which version of the profile is loading?

The profile turned out to be the problem. I updated the game profiles, then made sure the orbiter profile loaded and voila! Blue enhanced mode and a moving vc.
