Hi, I'm a developer working on the Freespace2 Source Code Project and the Freespace2-engine game, Battlestar Galactica: Beyond the Red Line. I'm currently cleaning up the freelook features of the Freespace 2 engine and I wish to add TrackIR support.
I'm interested in obtaining the SDK, but I'm disheartened to learn that NaturalPoint will only give the SDK to commercial projects. However, I learned that D2X-XL and EECH, both free products, have TrackIR support. Can any NaturalPoint developers help us with this?

Re: Freespace2 and TIR
Hi Swifti,
We're not "commercial only" with TrackIR so much as we're "Games the public will someday play" only. And BTRL definitely fits the bill. We actually got in touch with Chris Hager, and sent over the SDK, back in june of 2006. I'll touch base with him again.
Since BTRL is made by a group of individuals instead of a centralized company, i will need to ask you to sign an NDA on your own.
Can you please fill out the form here:

Re: Freespace2 and TIR
Do I contact my team members to obtain the SDK or will NaturalPoint take care of me?
