There's always "mouse emulation" in the folder.. it works fine.. just map a joystick button to latched or unlatched of right mouse button..

Mouse emulation works to an extent. Instead of auto-recentering, it can allow for simple pitch and yaw control, but not to the extent that full TrackIR support would allow.

I've just loaded up MS Flight on Steam and I'm saddened to see the lack of TIR support, so where do we go to tell Microsoft they need to fix that?

Thanks, feedback sent.

They've done a great job with the new mouse look/control mechanism but for a TrackIR user, it feels like a giant step backwards!

Fingers crossed.

A Microsoft Flight update was realeased yesterday, and even though I haven't yet had time to test it, it looks like Track IR support is part of the new features.

Well Microsoft have now implemented Track IR and it's working.
It works fine in the Stearman, so I bought the P51 but in the Mustang the cockpit View is about 10-15 feet forward of the nose.
I can't seem to zoom back enough to make it work.
If I'm doing something wrong let me know.

I'd report the issue to Microsoft, they likely may have to make an adjustment to the default view of the aircraft.

As of this morning, word is trickling out that future development on Microsoft Flight is cancelled. They say they'll continue to provide the service as-is for now, but who knows how long that'll last.

I can't say I'm surprised...aiming a flight simulator at a more casual player base and lacking major sim features like proper TrackIR support kept me from even trying it.
