Damn Charlie you have my sympathy I just got over the flu and had it on my Birthday last Sunday still on the bright side I got 'Band Of Brothers' DVD box set for my birthday so I took a few days off to get over it and shut myself in the house with the DVD remote
Looking forward to IL-2: Forgotten Battles, for me it will be the first game I have to have dedicated TIR support in the box. I can see me getting a lot of stick time in that sim

Perhaps simply, because mouse movments are relative and Enhanced TIR is absolute. isn't it ?
If there are losses in the mouse input this influate a lot when nothing with the absolute data.
