AEP 2.1 has taken away my 360 degree view!

Help!!!...I loved having the smooth 360 degree panning movement. I'm an old guy and it made my immersion so much better. Now its as though I've injured my neck and hit a stop. Please fix this if possible. This is one of the main reasons I purchased TIR1 and TIR2.

Hi whurst1 , try this fix that Hotdognz worked out:

"here is a promblem with the new rear view in Il2 FB Aces and the new patch, if you dont have the original Linda Blair view enabled in the registry you wont get the futher back six view.

There is a eay fix for this now I just tested it.

Shut down the TIR program and go into your registry, look for

TrackIR root key location will be found under :
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\NaturalPoint\NaturalPoint

The key name will be the version of the trackir
software, for instance "V3.10 GX" for 3.10

Then scroll down and change the 1 to 2 like it says below

* TrackIR Enhanced View Range Limiting override
Added : 2.11
registry key name : "ViewLimiting"
registry key values : "1" = normal (restricted to "realistic" ranges)
"2" = open (larger range of motion)

This was what we had to do to enable the Linda blair view that a lot of people complained about but now it gives you as much view as the mouse users get.

I dont know why its like this and im not sure how Oleg has done it this way, but it works as I just tested it"

BTW whurst1 , if you don't know how to get into your registry, go Start/Run and type in "regedit" and hit the ok button.

Thanks for the quick reply Slapp but I have already implemented this fix. I still do not have the range of view I had with AEP 2.0. When I tilt my head back to look up I am stopped at straight up and I know I can exceed this by moving my eyes in real life. I really miss being able to tilt my head back without turning my head. Why take this away from us? I'm very unhappy!

The view to the top is limited to 90 degrees up in FB (hope my English is not too bad). This is an extreme disadvantage if you are following an enemy plane in a dogfight. In real life I manage to look upwards to 100 or 110 degrees..

Have you made the alterations to the registry that removes the restriction as a temp fix?

Hi guys the temp fix that Slapp posted that I found will still only give you the rear views that all other device users get now, I belive Oleg removed the full rear view that us TIR users had.

Slapp has posted the temp fix here in this thread.Yes, I have, but it doesn't help with the 90 degrees prob (nor does it give back to you the old LB-view as hotdognz explains).
