Concurrent access to the TrackIR data for multiple games at a time was never part of the official specification. Some applications were utilizing this (when they should not have been), which caused them to break when we updated the TrackIR interface to conform more closely with the specification.

If multiple applications cannot access TrackIR simultaneously then we can never have a 3rd party app to allow games that don't support all 6 DOF be able to make more use out of TrackIR.

Is there any plan to either:

1) Support keyboard mapping for all 6DOF directly in the trackIR drivers so game that don't support all 6DOF can still have some 6DOF options

2) Support multiple applications reading from TrackIR so that 3rd party apps can help games that support 2DOF make use of the complete 6DOF through keyboard mapping sending keystrokes based on head position

Thank you for a wonderful product.

I just hope our suggestions are considered and that Naturalpoint doesn't take the stance that games must support TrackIR natively and leave purchasers of TrackIR without the less desirable option of keystroke mapping based on head location.

1 - This is currently not on the list for future features

2 - There can be an issue, with more than one application trying to read from the TrackIR hardware at the same time, so this might not be able to be implemented.
