FS9 Autopilot problem with TrackIR running

Post by SpaGroen »

I am running FS9 and my TrackIR works great! I am have a very acceptable
profile set and there's no problem in looking around from the virtual cockpit.
But... When I want to adjust for instance the heading of my autopilot, it increases
with 10 instead of 1 degree per click. Same problem with altimeter, it increases
with 1000 instead of 100.
When I disable the TrackIR Software simply by closing the application it does
work correctly. Is there an easy way to solve this problem?
I have the 2.12 beta running on my computer.

Thanks!

Your not the only one with that problem. I've got the same result. Is there anyway to solve that problem?

I've already send an email and they've send our problem to the development department.

So all we can do is wait...

A question-
Did either of you (or anyone else with the problem) see it in FS2002?

Also, are you running any 3rd party plug-ins?

Hi!

I don't recall having this problem in FS2002. But then again, I haven't got the headtracker that long actually.

Actually I am convinced that did not happen in FS2002 as there were no clickable virtual cockpits available. At least, no freeware.

All I have running as a third party app is FSUIPC, the newest version if I am right.

Hope this helps!

Could you point me in the direction for FSUIPC?

Is anyone else running it?

Thanks

I have both flitghtsims installed on my system so I checked it out.

In normal cockpit view in 2002 the autopilot functions normaly as it is supposed to, even when trach IR is enabled. The heading sellector and altitude selector does the normal steps.

In 2004 however the problem happens both in the normal cockpit view and in the virtual cockpit. To be exact, the following happenes.

When track IR is enabled the first step (for example the heading sellector) is one degree wich is normal. All the next steps, however, are 10 degrees. When I disable the track IR (F9 key) the first step is 10 degrees and all the next steps are one degree as it is supposed too.

But to answer your 1st question again. The problem does not occure in FS2002.

The answer of you 2nd question is, I personaly do not run a third party plug-in or software.

I hope you have enough information.

Link FSUIPC

So can I assume you guys don't have this problem we have?

FSUIPC is used by loads of people. If you check on Flightsim.com you can see that from september 25th, over 3500 people have downloaded this little module.

Here's the discription for the module:
quote: FSUIPC.dll application interfacing module v3.08. FSUIPC is effectively a successor to FS6IPC.dll. Both modules are designed to allow external (i.e. separate) programs to communicate with and perhaps control Microsoft Flight Simulator. Also includes WeatherSet.exe, a basic weather manipulation program using the Advanced Weather interface in FSUIPC. Regards,

Jeroen

I've contacted support and they've told me they have started on developing a solution.

Be patient though, because of the
many layers of code that has to be gone through.

Thanks Donald for your excellent service!
