FSX and Win10 = Tracker not working

Post by sobe »

I am running the regular version of FSX (not steam) and Win10. When I ran FSX with Win7, everything was fine. Now that I upgraded to Win10, most times Tracker will not work. Has anyone else had this issue? I was considering going to P3D, but I see P3D also has tracker problems.

I have the trackir 4 hardware with trackir 5 software (latest version).

sobe,

TrackIR works fine on Windows 10. The issue usually has to do with their decision not to use our API for integration, but instead used a third party integration called SimConnect.

Have you checked to see if your SimConnect files are installed correctly? You say that it fails most of the time, does this mean it sometimes works? If so, what is different between the two attempts at running FSX and TrackIR? What happens if you run both programs as an administrator?

When I run both programs as admin, still trackir does not work.

I am not familiar with simconnect files, but I did find them in the Uires sub directory.

I found 3 simconnect folders in windows/winsxs/
C:\Windows\WinSxS\x86_microsoft.flightsimulator.simconnect_67c7c14424d61b5b_10.0.60905.0_none_dd92b94d8a196297

C:\Windows\WinSxS\x86_microsoft.flightsimulator.simconnect_67c7c14424d61b5b_10.0.61242.0_none_e079b46b85043c20

C:\Windows\WinSxS\x86_microsoft.flightsimulator.simconnect_67c7c14424d61b5b_10.0.61259.0_none_55f5ecdc14f60568

Each appear to contain a SimConnect.dll file

sobe,

Have you tried placing the FSX disc in and tried running a repair on the files?
