Short answer - There will never be 6DOF support for IL-2.
Longer answer - The videos that are posted, showing 6DOF, were created by using a hacked version of the application. The person who hacked the app. won't release it, as it also hacked several other things which could cause cheating on online servers. Also the game developer has stated that he will not add 6DOF support for IL-2 as the aircraft cockpits would not be able to handle moving your view with 6DOF. I.E. - several cockpits would have holes, or gaps in them, when you moved your head with more than 2 DOF.
As a side note - Storm of War will have 6DOF support.

Wolfseven, if you install the sound mod for IL2, then you can install a mod that allows 6 DOF and play right now.
If you play online, the new sfs file does not pass the checkruntime=2, so there are a few severs that will not allow you in.
Make a copy of your current game, then install the mods to your new copy.

So is this possible in 1946 game? I just got the track ir4, and it acts just like trackir2: only pans, no zoom, etc.

So why are you advertising Trackir4 front and center in Hyperlobby on the forgotten battles page, with a link to all the wonderful features the pro version has (but I can't get in the game)?
I just wasted $200 to upgrade from trackir2?
Seems like a little truth in advertising would have saved me a lot of money and grief!

So is this possible in 1946 game?
I just got the track ir4, and it acts just like trackir4: it always pans, and with zoom, etc. fantastic buy for me.
