Trackir head movement

i disable x,y,z because the the 6o clock and high 6 o clock views work better without them.

the problem is the forward view has the cockpit frame obstructions. to get around that i used to zoom in with the game's view system.
now i can't use the ingame's view system(specifically the forward head movement) because it seems to be disabled by trackir.

is there any way around this?

edit:
the way trackir works with x,z,y disabled is amazing.. if only it could still funtion that way with z enabled would be perfect.
or if i could use the ingame forward head movement while trackir 'Z' was disabled that would probably be a better solution.

I can zoom with x,y and z disabled. However, the problem described in my post occurs 'Strange TIR 5/TCP v5 beta 2 behaviour'.
