Hi there,

Is it possible to run the OptiTrack tracking system (Flex 13 cameras) at the same time as the HTC Vive's Lighthouse one? I have tried several configurations (1.0 and 2.0 Lighthouse base stations, including using the sync cable with 1.0), but there seems to be an interference problem I haven't been able to bypass.

Has anybody done it successfully? Are they compatible? Any pointers would be greatly appreciated.

Hi jusabiaga,

When running the OptiTrack system, users will typically not need the Vive tracking. The motion capture is usually intended to take the place of the Vive tracking itself.

If you try to run both simultaneously, the IR from the motion capture system will likely interfere with the Vive's tracking.

Before we were compatible with the Vive, users needed to synchronize the two systems and apply an offset. We no longer support this setup, but you can try reading this old documentation regarding the synchronization to see how this used to be done.
