I was wondering if there are any first person shooter games out there that allow you too look around with the TIR but have the direction your walking / running in and your aim controlled by the mouse?
This would seem to be the most realistic way of using the TIR as it would simulate real head movement. It would in theory be possible to run across a virtual room and look sideways whilst running.
thanks
Jags.

Not that I know of.
This is a very much wanted ability.
I would start sending letter to the game developers that make the FPS games you enjoy and start asking them to incorperate this feature for the TrackIR.
While the flight sim devs are jumping on this like mad, we really need to get the FPS devs on the ball.
That can only be done from user requests.

Re: Shooters with free look?
This would be great for OFP-R but an earlier thread about this seems to have died. What a pity!
Re: Shooters with free look?
OP Flashpoint 2 will have native support for TRack IR 2. But that will be out in 2005.

Call of Duty has freelook.
Re: Shooters with free look?
Would be neat if TIR simply had an option to be used in place of the hat switch
This would open TIR up to hundreds of games & older Sims that do not have direct support for TIR
Can this be a future option
